Small Wood Triangle Stud Earrings by Brianna Kenyon
Introducing my new line 'Naturally Geometric'. Inspired by my love for working with wood and the way it looks when combined with the shine of metal. Made of hardwood veneer, the varied laminated wood is layered to achieve a unique line pattern on the sides.
These fun little triangle studs are created in wenge wood laminate. The wire has portions that are hammered to give the earrings a unique combination of textures.
Size: 0.75" long.
Made by Brianna Kenyon of Pooka Queen in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Brianna Kenyon is a Michigan native with a BFA in metalsmithing from College For Creative Studies in Detroit. Pooka Queen emerged in 2010 as an exploration of form into functional wear made from industrial felt. After years of pursuing millinerey work that adorned actresses and movie sets, walked down fashion runways and appeared in magazines, Brianna has fallen back to her jewelry roots.
Her current jewelry line is based on geometric minimalist forms. Made with quality gold filled and solid sterling silver wire, she embellishes her pieces with unique, carefully hand picked semi-precious stone beads and handcrafted wood components. Each item is made from scratch with the utmost care for detail and craftsmanship.
When she is not happily living her best life making jewelry, she is on nature walks with her Boston Terrier, Bishop or crafting with her daughter.
