These iridized glass leaves are all translucent, shimmering beautifully with light. Each leaf is precision-cut from my design with my water-jet, then hand-painted, kiln-fired, and slumped into its organic shape. No molds are ever used, so every piece is one-of-a-kind. Finished with a drilled hole and black ribbon for hanging.

Dimensions: Each individual glass leaf measures about 2-3" in diameter.

Handmade by Laurel Grey of Laurel Grey Glassworks of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Because this item is handmade, it will vary slightly from the image shown.

Each glass leaf is meticulously hand-painted and kiln-fired, ensuring vibrant, lasting beauty that won’t fade or scratch. The leaves are shaped through a specialized firing and slumping process, creating unique, organic forms. The strands are accented with driftwood and stones, suspended on fine stainless steel cable, making them perfect for both indoor and outdoor display.

And a Few Words from the Artist:

My work is influenced by komorebi—a Japanese word that describes the way sunlight filters through leaves. That quiet, calming moment under a tree guides the way these pieces interact with light, movement, and space, inviting a sense of presence and ease into everyday environments.

I create contemporary glass leaf strands and ornaments in Door County, Wisconsin. Each leaf is hand-painted and kiln-fired, then suspended to respond naturally to light and air movement, creating shifting patterns of color and shadow.

Designed for indoor and protected outdoor spaces, these leaf strands bring a subtle sense of calm to homes, porches, windows, and garden-adjacent areas—offering a gentle reminder to slow down and notice the beauty already around us.
