2027 Wall Calendar by Nan Onkka
This 8.5" x 11" calendar features 12 stunning seasonal images from original reductive woodcut prints by Nan Onkka of Grand Marais, Minnesota. Each page of the calendar features a seasonally-appropriate image paired with the month's dates in a minimalist style. With clean, spacious blocks for each date, there is plenty of room for adding personal events and reminders. New this year - slightly bolder line weight and larger font for dates. Printed locally in Minnesota by a carbon-neutral, employee-owned company.
Nan Onkka is a printmaker who lives on Minnesota's north shore of Lake Superior. She creates woodcut prints inspired by the lakes and woods near her home.
Nan holds a bachelor's degree in Studio Art from St. Olaf College and a master's of Art Education from Boston University. Nan began selling her artwork as a hobby in 2016 while working as a high school art teacher. After having her first child in 2018, she decided to become a full-time artist in hopes of pursuing her printmaking while spending more time with her son.
She sells stickers, greeting cards, calendars, giclées, and more created from her woodcut images. Beyond art, Nan enjoys canoeing, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two young kids.
