Hairy Hooligan - Small, Zuzu by Artworks Etc.

Each one-of-a-kind, handcrafted ceramic monster is carefully designed to cradle an air plant (not included), creating a delightful "hairdo" that adds to their charm.  With unique personalities and names to match, theses little friends are sure to bring a smile to your face.  Especially when you turn them around and spot their butt... lol  Yep, they have butt cheeks for an added chuckle.

These mischievous little monsters are handcrafted from high quality, low fire earthenware clay making them original works of art!  They come to life with their signature "hair" - an air plant that adds a touch of whimsy and delight.    With their endearing expressions and quirky charm, these small but mighty monsters are sure to make you smile.   They make a perfect companion for your desk, shelf or anywhere you need a dose of playfulness.  

A little about the making of these little guys and gals!  Each one starts with a body that is hand-built...  I do not have a potters wheel.   Then features like eyes, mouth and teeth are added, bringing them to life!  Some will have ears and horns too.  They are set aside to dry for about a week.  Once completely dry, they are bisque fired.  Two coats of colorful glaze is brushed on with the addition to 2 coats of clear glaze on top to seal it all in. They are glazed inside and out. When the glaze is dry they are fired in a kiln again reaching 1798 degrees  Each monster is different and original!

I am a multi media artist who loves to work with paint, clay and glass. I am also a teaching artist and do local classes.
