Metal Dreambox by Woodcutts

Our metal dreamboxes are small, metal boxes inlaid with paper cardstock and solid
hardwood Cherry and Walnut veneers. Styles, wood colors and cardstock colors come
as assorted only. A “Legend of the Dreambox” is included inside each box. Size: approximately 2 and 1/8” in diameter.

Legend of the Dreambox:

The Legend of the Dreambox suggests writing down your fondest dream,
greatest desire, or strongest wish on a small piece of paper, putting that paper
in a dreambox and placing it beside your bed. Every evening as you retire and
every morning as you rise, hold your dreambox and think on your dream.
Believe with all your heart that it is so. Legend has, that if done faithfully....
your dream will come true.

John Murphree (creator and artist of WoodCutts) had been a designer craftsman for over 40 years, exploring many mediums including leather work, beading, scrimshaw, silver smithing and finally, wood working. In 2001, John noticed that the wood jewelry displayed in trade magazines and local stores was limited in both creativity and design and that quality pieces were very expensive. This observation inspired him to combine his jewelry designing skills with his woodworking knowledge to create a concept for wood jewelry that would mark a change in the industry.

In the summer of 2017, John retired to his beloved Colorado mountains and spent the remainder of his years there. His daughter, Lacey Schlosky, stepped into the ownership role. While intending to hold strong to John’s original creative vision, Lacey focuses on enhancing existing lines and the creation of new products, all the while continuing a steadfast commitment to affordable pricing with the highest quality standards.

All items are made at our small, family-run shop and all materials are proudly sourced and manufactured in the USA.
