Hydrangea and Checks Print by Heartell Press
Originally drawn in colored pencil, this lively floral arrangement of hydrangeas, thistles, and wild stems bursts from a pink checkered vase. A bright teal background and yellow tablecloth amplify the joyful, layered textures.
Risograph art print on 100% recycled paper using plant-based inks.
Art print measures 8" x 10".
RISO prints are made with a Risograph printer. It looks like a photocopier, but works as a screenprinter; using rich spot colors and stencils to create tactile and vibrant prints, affordably and with little impact to our environment.
Risograph printing has been used for high-volume printing in places like schools and political parties for many years, but over the past decade, it has undergone a resurgence with creatives adopting the process because of its tactile and unique results!
*Please note RISO is a spot color process that makes every print unique, and slight imperfections are part of its charm.
Handmade by Heartell Press in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Our story started when printmaker and illustrator Rachel Kroh was inspired to hand-carve woodblocks and print them to make cards after she had trouble finding the kind of warm, sincere designs she wanted to send to her mom who was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. Since then we have grown to a small but mighty team of five, committed to helping you savor every moment of feeling, flavor, sensation and connection with the people who matter most to you.
At Heartell Press we use sustainable materials and simple block print illustrations to create meaningful cards and gifts so you can nurture your relationships through all of life's ups and downs. Our Art for Change Project is a collection of postcards (great for sending to elected representatives) and art prints that generate funding for organizations that support BIPOC and LGBTQ+ small business owners.
