Fireflies has been lovingly Risofied as part of Ditto Vol. 1—our collection of Heartell favorites re-imagined and printed in-house on our Risograph press.
Inspired by warm summer evenings spent watching fireflies dance through wildflower-filled fields, this dreamy design glows with layers of vibrant pinks, oranges, yellows, and deep purples. Soft florals and glowing lights come together to capture the magic of lingering twilight and the simple joy of being outdoors as day fades into night.

This A2 (4.25" x 5.5") folded card was Risograph printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper. Includes a coordinating envelope. Inside is blank for your personalized message.

RISO prints are made with a Risograph printer. It looks like a photocopier, but works as a screenprinter; using rich spot colors and stencils to create tactile and vibrant prints, affordably and with little impact to our environment.
Risograph printing has been used for high-volume printing in places like schools and political parties for many years, but over the past decade, it has undergone a resurgence with creatives adopting the process because of its tactile and unique results!

Our story started when printmaker and illustrator Rachel Kroh was inspired to hand-carve woodblocks and print them to make cards after she had trouble finding the kind of warm, sincere designs she wanted to send to her mom who was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. Since then we have grown to a small but mighty team of five, committed to helping you savor every moment of feeling, flavor, sensation and connection with the people who matter most to you.
At Heartell Press we use sustainable materials and simple block print illustrations to create meaningful cards and gifts so you can nurture your relationships through all of life's ups and downs. Our Art for Change Project is a collection of postcards (great for sending to elected representatives) and art prints that generate funding for organizations that support BIPOC and LGBTQ+ small business owners.
