At Keene Pottery, I create vibrant, thoughtfully crafted pieces that energize your space. I’m obsessed with using color to create a joyful environment that inspires happiness and cheer. My journey from product designer to potter is fueled by a passion for sustainability, a desire to design, and the joy of working with clay. To me, pottery is not just functional; it’s a canvas for expression that brings warmth and positivity to your home.

Every piece is crafted from durable stoneware, making it both dishwasher and microwave safe. Please take extreme caution if microwaving as pieces will become very hot.

From dreaming & sketching, building molds, casting, finishing & glazing, it’s all done by me. I love all the facets of my work and enjoy all the variations of tasks from day to day.

I started making pottery in high school and kept it up as a hobby while studying industrial design in college. I rented studio time at Fleisher Art Memorial in South Philly for years, but during the pandemic, I began gathering supplies at home until I had a full studio. By 2021, I officially turned my passion into a business, and I’ve been busy having fun ever since!

My studio is inside my rowhome. What was originally planned to be a kitchen gradually transformed as I filled the space with pottery supplies. Once the floors were in, it became clear this room was destined for creativity, not cooking. Having my studio at home allows me to stay closely connected to my work and enables me to check on my pieces as I let my dogs out the backdoor.

I mostly listen to Radiohead & podcasts, sometimes audio books. One of my favorite things to do is to put on an album like “OK Computer”, “Amnesiac” or “The Bends” and let the clay do its magic.
