I am a self-taught artist. I've always had a knack and desire to create all kinds of art related things. I started drawing from old photos, but I didn't start painting until 2006. I painted for fun and never thought to make this my career. But as circumstance would have it, I got the opportunity to draw soft pastel portraits and caricatures at Disney World and later in Sea World. It was a great opportunity I couldn't pass up and as I got better, I realized I could do it as a career. In 2011, after selling a few paintings online, I was encouraged by friends and family to do an art show. I haven't stopped since. I never dreamed I could have the blessing of making a career out of something I loved. 

I am constantly teaching myself, practicing and creating new paintings and even new crafts which I love to do and also the occasional whimsical illustration. Unable to stick to only one medium, my mixed media art ranges from gouache paintings to torn paper collages and a little of everything in between. I love grunge, texture, and anything vintage, as well as my obsession with paper, drives me to incorporate all of these elements into my “quirky realistic” and whimsical art.
