Lynn lives in Dubuque with her husband Karl and one spoiled rotten cat. She earned her BFA in studio art/painting from Clarke College (University) in 1997. Lynn focused on a graphic design career for 25 years after graduating college. In 2023, when her dad passed, she inherited the family farm and chose to leave the 40 hour week corporate jobs. After some encouragement from her husband, she decided to start oil painting again.
Lynn works with oil to create paintings, working with size and scale to create beautiful original paintings.
"I love to play with size and scale as well as vibrant color on dark backgrounds. I started painting flowers as a way to capture nature’s beauty to enjoy the whole year. I still use the computer to crop, rotate, flip, and draw the outline of the flowers from the original photo before painting."
