Which is Larger? Puzzle by Creative Crafthouse
3 pieces are arranged next to each other. Can you determine which one is larger? It seems pretty easy. BUT, change the order of the pieces…. Is the one you chose still the largest? It’s a mind blowing illusion because although the pieces appear to be quite differently sized, they are actually all the same! Whichever of the pieces is on the right will appear largest. The piece on the left will appear smallest. You can probably envision the fun you might have messing with your friends and family with this one.
I offer this in 2 styles (premium and economy) and they appear on 2 separate listings. The premium model uses 3 different hardwoods, nicely finished and deeply laser engraved. The wood is ¼” thick and cut along the grains so very strong. This model has a fiddling mouse, dancing ducks and a dancing pigs lasered on the pieces. The economy version is made from floorboard material. It is the same physical size as the premium version. It is also laser engraved. It has letters to identify the 3 pieces. It uses a single color floorboard material, though the color may change a bit depending on what I have available.
This puzzle is based on a paper puzzle from the 1930’s or 40’s that I bought at auction. I had so much fun with it I had to make it…. You can see that original at the end of the video. Made in our Spring Hill Florida shop. You can view a video of the puzzle by cutting and pasting this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZwR8hyCYywMade in their Hudson, Florida shop.
