I’m a surface designer and illustrator living in Northeast Los Angeles. I create fun, quirky illustrations and patterns for licensing and commissions.
My work is influenced by vintage packaging, urban signage, ‘80s pop culture and the nature all around me in Southern California. I typically start a project by playing around in pencil then add color and details with watercolor, gouache, marker or digitally.
I have a BFA from SVA and an MFA from CalArts in graphic design with over 20 years of experience creating print, interactive and branding solutions for a range of industries and clients. When I noticed how much pattern and illustration I was using in this work, I realized…wait a minute…this is truly what makes my heart sing!
When I’m not drawing or designing, you can find me running the neighborhood hills, cooking up some new recipe, or chilling on the beach with my hubby.
